On February 20, our university took part in an international online seminar on the topic “Protection of the cultural heritage of Ukraine in the war and post-war period: challenges, innovations, actions.” The purpose of the seminar is to provide a wide range of interested parties with the transfer of innovative experience that was developed by the participants of the “Network for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Ukraine by means of solidarity and volunteer tourism in the war and post-war times in the context of the solidarity economy”, one of which is our university, to promote the development of partnership interaction at the local, regional, national and international levels in the field of Cultural Heritage and Community Restoration.
The English-language section of the seminar was held under the chairmanship of the vice-rector for international relations Olena Bondar. We express our gratitude to the teachers for their active work, participation and significant contribution to this event, namely: Oleksandr Kashchenko, dean of the Faculty of Architecture; Roman Demyanenko, head of the Department of Engineering Geodesy; Tetyana Kashchenko, associate professor of the Department of Architectural Design of Civil Buildings and Structures; Volodymyr Rashkivskyi, head of the Department of Construction Machinery; Mykola Klymenko, associate professor of the Department of Machines and Equipment of Technological Processes; Olena Yaremchuk, associate professor of the Department of Fine Arts and Architectural Graphics; Mariia Mudra, PhD student; Olga Chumak, PhD student.
We would like to especially thank our stars – the students of the Faculty of Architecture, who presented their strategies and projects for the restoration of territories affected by the war, namely: Sofia Vinichuk, David Borodiy, Bohdan Shcherbina, Olena Nikita, Andrii Khomenko, Darina Miusova, Yulia Smiltsa, Vladyslava Yanovska , Ksenia Shcheritsa and Anna Shatkivska.
